Appropriate attire:
« Leotards (any color).
« Tights (any color).
« Jazz pants (stretch pants that are fitted through the thigh and flare slightly at or below the knee).
« Form fitting*, thin material sweat pants (meaning: pants don’t technically have to be “jazz pants” but they need to fitted enough for the teacher and the dancer to be able to see how their body is moving).
« Leggings (pants that are fitted on all the leg).
« Form fitting tank tops (with appropriate sports bra underneath).
« Form fitting tiny tees (long sleeve okay if sleeves are at least semi-fitted).
« Dance skirts (sheer or opaque material) around knee length or shorter.
« Clothing purchased at a dance clothing store specifically labeled and intended for dance class that is form fitting and does not restrict movement.
« Dance shoes (must be worn for each dance class, see above for requirements). Please have laces tied in knots and (when possible) tucked inside the dance shoes (we don't have time to tie everyone's shoes in class!).
(*Form fitting is defined as clothing that sits against the skin and shows the shape of the body. It is clothing appropriate for dance class and many would say it is a little too tight for everyday wear.)
