Ms. Laura S.
Title: Teacher
Laura grew up in southern Utah in a loving family who shares her passion of dance. Starting clog dance at age 4, she's learned to love all forms of movement. Some of her early accomplishments include taking 1st all-around in USA State Gymnastics, graduating as Dance Sterling Scholar, and being awarded All-American Cheerleader.
Laura graduated with her associates degree from DSU with high honors, and transferred to BYU to continue her education in dance. She has since graduated with her BA in dance and was a member of the BYU ballroom dance company. When Laura isn't dancing she's enjoying time with her family or is out in nature. She is so excited to be teaching at Studio K.

Ms. Channing S.
Title: Teacher
Hi! I'm Channing. A Utah native with a love for musical theater, carbs and cheese, and all things Disney! I recently graduated from BYU with a degree in dance. I have spent the last couple years either nannying, teaching or performing with young kiddos and I can't wait to add your littles to my group of tiny best friends.

Alexa
grew up in Boise, Idaho and started dancing at age three. She quickly found a love
for dance and started dancing competitively by age 6.
Growing up, she attended and received most of her training from Dance Unlimited Studios
in Boise. She competed on the highest level traveling team and also
competed as a soloist placing at multiple competitions. She won her solo category
with a self-choreographed piece at Spotlight Dance Cup. She received a ballet
scholarship her senior year of high school from Nuvo Dance Convention held in
Phoenix Arizona. She has additionally trained at Boise Ballet Academy and Idaho
Fine Arts Academy where she graduated as a Dance Major.
Currently she is
attending Brigham Young University in Provo studying Dance Education. Alexa has
danced in many styles such as: lyrical, contemporary, modern, ballet, jazz,
tap, hip-hop, musical theatre, and ballroom. Her favorite styles are lyrical
and ballet. Alexa is excited to help dancers grow in their love for dance!

Jessica
was born and raised in Utah. She grew up with 5 siblings, which has instilled
her with a love for children. Jessica graduated from Brigham Young University
with a BA in Dance. While attending BYU she performed and choreographed for the
DancEnsemble company as well as was an assistant teacher for the BYU children’s
dance program.
When she was 5 her mother signed her up for dance and she cried
her very first day but it quickly became her passion in life. She has
been married since 2015 and has 4 wonderful children. Some things
that she enjoys are playing outside with her kids, reading, baking, and of
course dancing. She is excited to make a life long dream come true by being a
dance teacher here at Studio K.

Darci was born and raised in West Jordan and
started dancing at the age of six. She found a love for Hip-Hop very quickly
while also participating and enjoying other styles such as Jazz, Lyrical,
Contemporary, Tap, and Drill. She participated in leadership as the
captain of her Hip-Hop team and as an assistant teacher to younger
classes at her studio. One of her earliest accomplishments was being Awarded
the MVP National Champion at America on Stage with her Hip-Hop duet. After
COVID, Darci broadened her horizons and fell in love with ballroom, while also
transitioning to a professional Hip-Hop crew at Millenium SLC called “Boom
Crew”. Through that, she has been able to experience many amazing opportunities
in the professional world of dance including competing at World of Dance in
July of 2022.
Darci has been a Hip-Hop teacher since 2020 and has loved every
second of it. She will be a freshmen at Utah Valley University and
plans to continue with her professional Hip-Hop, as well as majoring in
Ballroom at the University. She is very excited to get involved in the dance
community in Orem by teaching at Studio K!

Ms. Maia M. Title: Teacher
Maia grew up in Orange County, California and found her
passion for ballet at age three. She trained with Maple Youth Ballet, Anaheim
Ballet, Dmitri Kulev Classical Ballet Academy, and is currently dancing with
the Theatre Ballet company at Brigham Young University. She has performed in
many classical ballets, her favorite being The Nutcracker. Her favorite role
she has performed was the lead in Gerald Arpino’s Reflections (BYU Theatre
Ballet 2023) . She has been accepted to ballet summer intensive programs
including Ballet West, University of Utah, Boston Ballet, and School of
American Ballet and has competed in Youth America Grand Prix. Maia has trained
with the 4Pointe technique and will use this experience to enhance her teaching
abilities. She studied abroad at La Scala in Milan, Italy, one of the world’s
oldest and most renowned ballet companies; She cherishes and loves to share the
knowledge she gained while there.
Outside of dance, Maia loves to spend time with friends
and family. She and her family started a Pickleball Company, XPLR and an
associated non-profit USA Junior Pickleball Association (USAJPA). She loves to
play games, swim, be outdoors, and try new things. Maia is a Junior studying
Exercise Science at BYU.
Maia is enthusiastic to be teaching at Studio K for her
third season.

Ms. Emily H.
Title: Teacher
Emily was born and raised in Provo, Utah. She started dancing at age 6 and immediately fell in love. For 13 years now, she has trained at multiple studios in ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, partnering, and hip hop. In her senior year of high school, she was the president of Orem Dance Company, as well as the sterling scholar in dance for Orem High School. She attended the University of Utah for one year and plans to continue school at Utah Valley University.
For the past year and half she has been choreographing pieces for high school dance companies and substitute teaching dance classes at studios. Some of her other interests include reading, doing puzzles, learning, and being around friends and family! She is very excited to start a teaching job at Studio K and can’t wait to get involved in this community!

Ms. Aleah I.
Title: Teacher
Aleah started dancing at a young age and is passionate about helping adults continue their journey in dance. She is classically trained in ballet and has studied multiple styles in many studios over the years, including jazz, lyrical, contemporary, modern, hip-hop, and Bollywood. She was a principal dancer with the Shenandoah Academy of Dance whilst in college and also was the captain and director of the Southern Virginia University Dance Company for three years.
Outside of dance, Aleah works as a marketing manager, editor, and journalist.
